On Friday, Ava DuVernay’s When They See Us was released on Netflix and I watched the series and wow. I have no words for it. I was left speechless, angry, sad, heartbroken but also inspired and in complete awe by the strength of those 5 boys that grew up to become amazing men. They were treated unkindly and unfair simply because of the color of their skin but they never gave up. If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you do. It’s a very important series to watch.
I loved Kylie’s performance in it. My favorite scene was in Part 1 where Kevin begged Angie to sign his confession so he could go home. That was just the most heartbreaking thing. You can find HD screencaptures in our photo archive. Enjoy!
